INSPIRE implementation in ČÚZK

The implementation of the INSPIRE Directive in the Czech Office for Surveying, Mapping and Cadastre was very specific in comparison with most European countries. Databases containing source data – Basic Register of Territorial Identification, Addresses and Real Estate (RÚIAN) and the Information System of the Cadastre of Real Estate (ISKN) – are edited in an on-line mode and their spatial data is available free of charge (Open Data). The content of mentioned databases covers the requirements for themes  “Cadastral parcels“, “Buildings“, ”Addresses“ and “Administrative units“. It was therefore decided to provide viewing and download services on-line and free of charge. As RÚIAN is a newly established database, earlier deadlines for implementation of the INSPIRE Directive are valid for the outputs from it ; for example for data harmonization and download services of Annex I themes it is 2012 and 2015 for Annex II and III themes.
